The Kids Bike Races, Crystal City (Saturday), and Clarendon (Sunday) part of the 2022 Armed Forces Cycling Classic proudly brought to you by the Boeing Company, June 4-5.

Kids 9 and under will have two opportunities to participate for FREE at the 2022 Armed Forces Cycling Classic Kids Races.

To register your child, please select the KIDS RACE REGISTRATION button, and complete the form.

Unless your child has a BikeReg account, please use the “Register as a Guest” option. Use your child’s First and Last name as the “Participant Contact Information”, along with their date of birth and gender.

Parents/Guardians will be required to provide the e-signature to agree to the terms in the waiver. We are using the BikeReg platform in order to avoid the need to sign waivers in person during packet pick-up on race day, to reduce interactions and touches.

Here are some key details to help keep things moving smoothly:

You will be signing your child/children’s electronic waiver and receiving a race number’s in advance via US Mail, along with additional instructions for day-of protocol and procedures, due to Covid mitigation.

Saturday, June 4th, Crystal City: 3 heats, starting approximately at 12:35 pm.

Details:

Rider Check-in, Bib Number Pick-up: We will open Kids Race Registration at 10am for bib number pick-up for preregistration as well as new, day-of registrants.

Lining Up: The oldest/most experienced kids will line up first, followed by a second Heat. These groups will both do one lap (see course map below). Then, the 3rd Heat (trikes/pushbikes) will line up to the side of the course, designated by the HEAT 3 sign (about 100m from the s/f line).

The first heat will begin. When the final rider from Heat 1 hits turn 1, the second heat will depart. After the LAST rider in Heat 2 passes the Heat 3 group, we will line up the Heat 3 kids, and give them an official start.

Finish Line & Medals: Please meet your kids about 25 meters after the finish line (we will divert them into the Expo), where they will receive their finishing medals.

We need all kids to quickly leave the course so we can begin lining up the Pros.

Sunday, June 5th, Clarendon: 3 heats, starting at approximately 11:30 am.

Lining Up: Oldest/most experienced kids will line up first, followed by a second Heat. These groups will both do one lap. Finally, the 3rd Heat will line up to the side of the course at Highland. The first heat will begin. When the final rider from Heat 1 hits turn 1, the second heat will depart. After the LAST rider in Heat 2 passes the Heat 3 group, we will line up the Heat 3 kids, and give them an official start.

Finish Line & Medals: Please meet your kids about 25 meters after the finish line at Hudson St (we will divert them into the park), where they will receive their finishing medals. We need all kids to quickly leave the course so we can begin lining up the Pros.
